Mr. LoCurcio currently serves as the Director of Bands at George Jenkins High School. A graduate of Auburndale High School class of 1991, Mr. LoCurcio served as Band President, received the John Philip Sousa Award, and was even selected to represent Polk County performing with the U.S. Navy Band.


After later receiving a Bachlors Degree in Music Education from Florida Southern College in 1998, Mr. LoCurcio began his teaching career at Daniel Jenkins Academy of Technology in 2000. He later receive an appointment to serve as the Band Director at his own Alma Mater, Auburdale High School. He served as Director of The Imperial Sound from 2001-2004 before transfering to George Jenkins in 2005 taking over for Mr. Kevin Crawford.


Mr. LoCurcio, now in his 15th year of teaching, is an active member of the Florida Bandmasters Association, Florida Music Educators Association, and the National Music Educators Association. 


He is married to Jennifer LoCurcio and is the father of two children:

Alexia and Vincent.


Mrs. Kee currently serves as the Color Guard Instructor at George Jenkins High School. A graduate of Winter Haven High School, Polk Junior College, and The University of South Florida, Mrs. Kee is no stranger to the Education System. Over her 30 year long career, Mrs. Kee has served at Auburndale High School, Grace Lutheran School, Lake Region High School, and the Royal Academy of Music Freeport, Bahamas. 


Mrs. Kee is a revered instructor responsible for leading her guard to numerous Superior Ratings and having the distinction of being one of the premier Color Guard programs in the state of Florida. 


She is married to husband Pat and together, they have two children:

Charlotte and Allen




Mrs. Whitman has served on the Band Staff for the last 10 years as both the Marching Coordinator and Assistant Color Guard Instructor. A graduate of Kathleen High School, Mrs. Whitman gained her first years of experience playing on the Drum Line and played Oboe in the Symphonic Band. While receiving her BA in Visual Disabilities at FSU, she marched with the World Reknown Marching Chiefs and served as a sister in Tau Beta Sigma. She later went on to receive a Masters Degree from USF before starting a thirty-six year long career in Education here in Polk County. She currently serves as President of the Florida Association for the Education and Rehabilitation of the Visually Impaired, and is the program manager at the Lighthouse for The Blind in Pasco, Hernando, & Citrus counties.


But Mrs. Whitman's wisdom is not limited to the classroom or field alone. She has also served as a Polk County EMT and currently, in her spare time, coaches Synchronized Swimming at the Lakeland YMCA.


She is married to her husband Bill and together, they have two daughters Kayleigh and Brianna who both served as Captain of the GJHS Colorguard before joining the Marching Chiefs at Florida State. 



Mr. Smith, a 2011 George Jenkins H.S. graduate, and is currently serving in his first year on staff. During his time as a member of the drum line, he served as Drum Captain and has set high goals for the percussion section.  In addition to his work with the Dream Maker Band, Mr. Smith is a proud father with another baby girl on the way!
